Performance Behaviors And Expectations

Duke University Hospital staff are expected to demonstrate role-model behavior related to issues of diversity. There is only one level of acceptable performance for this competency.
 

 
Indicators of Effective Behavior:
 
  • Treat people fairly and respectfully regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation or preference, sex, or age.
  • Regard, recognize and value differences in the needs and views of others.
  • Take advantage of the rich backgrounds and diverse talents of DUH staff.
  • Consider and honor different opinions, styles and ways of working.
